The Apple iMac 21.5″ is a cheaper choice for iMacs. It has all the basic requirements that are necessary for music production. Also it is a Macintosh computer and industry standard for recording music. Apple iMac 21.5″ is an all in one desktop computer. Easy to use, plug in, and turn on.

You can do all of your music production on this computer. The iMac is very appealing to me and is not that expensive compared to the “Pro” version. The screen is a great size and it doesn’t take up much space in your home. The monitor is built in, so you don’t have to worry about attaching a bulky monitor to the screen. Macintosh computers are well built, appealing to the eye, and many music producers enjoy them. If you really want a Mac this is by far the cheapest one you’ll find.

Pros and Cons

However, it doesn’t come with a CD burner, and you’ll have to purchase one separately. A CD burner can easily be replaced if you have a USB drive. You can burn and save all of your works to your USB drive. Most producers and musicians prefer to use a USB drive because CD’s are out of date.

This is a 21.5 inch model. It is smaller than the 27 inch model which is the “Pro” version. This iMac is still a good choice, it has a very good display size, and it’s easy to use. Most digital audio workstations like Protools are compatible and works best when using Macintosh computers.

In conclusion, the Apple iMac 21.5″ is the best for music production. Most music professionals use Macintosh and you can produce quality music on this computer. Despite it not being the “Pro” version you are still making a great choice for your recording studio. The iMac 21.5″ has all the basic requirements like the pro version and it’s less expensive, so you’re going to save money using this computer.
